OccuSafe, under the direction of Gary Ticker, CIH, CSP, has developed and implemented company-wide safety and health programs and procedures in manufacturing, aviation, retail, and oil and gas industries, and others. These programs include OSHA required programs such as hazard communication, lockout-tagout, electrical safety, aerial lifts, respirators, machine guarding, emergency response, blood borne pathogens, personal protective equipment, process safety management, and recordkeeping. We work to improve safety committees, accident investigations, safety inspections and audits, ergonomics, and incentives. With Occusafe’s guidance, many of our clients have been recognized as leaders in safety through the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program, complying with government regulations, avoiding fines and law suits, and reducing costs.
Facility Safety Assessment
OccuSafe has conducted over 1000 site assessments of facility safety and health programs. These included compliance with OSHA regulations as well as acceptable work practices. Assessments included management support and funding of the safety program, supervisor knowledge and support of safe work practices, machine guarding, emergency response, fire protection, control of flammable liquids and spray painting, use of hazardous chemicals, personal protective equipment, electrical safety practices, welding, forklifts and material handling, lifting and ergonomic hazards, and training. Practical recommendations on correcting deficiencies and maintaining compliance are integral to the process.
